OpportUNITY Meeting
Five years ago, 100 community members came together with the goal of uniting our community around the fight against poverty. Since the start, OpportUNITY has worked with thousands of stakeholders to make great progress in tackling this complex issue, and today, more central Iowans are financially self-sufficient.
You're invited to join us in celebrating our community's successes and to help us chart our path forward so that we can do even more to eliminate the barriers that prevent central Iowans from thriving.
Share your idea for fighting poverty
The goal of OpportUNITY is to increase the percentage of central Iowans who are financially self-sufficient to 75% by 2020. We are making a final push toward this goal in the months ahead, and with everyone's creativity and hard work, we can make a huge difference!
One area we're looking for input is how to help adults gain the skills and connections they need to access the good jobs employers need filled. Have an idea? Share it. Click here to get started.
