2011 Iowa Hunger Summit

The Fifth Annual Iowa Hunger Summit took place on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown Hotel from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The “Hunger Luncheon” featured a keynote address by Mr. Tom Arnold, CEO of Concern Worldwide. The Iowa Hunger Summit also included various panel discussions and breakout sessions.

RESULTS FROM THE 2011 IOWA HUNGER SUMMIT: 

  • Nearly $12.1 MILLION was donated.
  • Over 12.8 MILLION pounds of food were distributed.
  • 520,000 HOURS were volunteered.
