Iowa Hunger Calendar

Join us for The Crisis Center’s second-annual Hunger Banquet presented by Collins Community Credit Union on Thursday, June 7 at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center in Coralville.

Doors open for social hour at 5:30 p.m.The program begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.  

This unique event gives participants a glimpse at the scope of hunger in Johnson County.

Guests will be randomly assigned to various income levels, determining which meal they receive. Last year, some guests representing upper income ate steak and lobster; some in the middle had hamburgers or mac and cheese, while others, representing food insecure individuals in Johnson County, received no meal.
