Robert G. Riley, Jr., has worked for more than 40 years in the fats and oil processing industry. In 1986, Bob purchased Feed Energy and built a company developed on sound research and science.  In 2006 he formed FEC Solutions to connect with the ethanol and biodiesel industries. In 2010 Riley launched Riverhead Resources to provide consolidated business services. 

Bob is, and has been, active in many organizations which include The Nature Conservancy, Iowa Poultry Assoc., Whiterock Conservancy, Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, Simpson College, Wright Foundation, Iowa Innovation Corporation, Iowa State University Research Foundation, American Feed Industry Association, Capital Crossroads, Des Moines Water Works, among others.
 
With a lifelong interest in both agriculture and the environment, Bob frequently speaks with a balanced business perspective, including Systems Thinking, Polarity Management, Root Cause Analysis and the interactions between the Seven Capitals (Natural, Social, Financial, Cultural, Built, Political, Human.)
