Meal Packaging Event
The Foundation invites you to package meals for Iowa families on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, as the kickoff to the 20th annual Iowa Hunger Summit. Volunteering will take place in one-hour shifts between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Norman E. Borlaug Hall of Laureates in Des Moines. In partnership with The Outreach Program, volunteers will package 20,000 meals for fellow Iowans.
The 9 to 10 a.m. shift will support the event setup, and the 1 to 2 p.m. shift will prepare the packaged meals for delivery. During shifts from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., each meal-packaging station will accommodate ten volunteers. Both individuals and groups are welcome to join.
