As the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States, Catholic Relief Services (CRS) carries out the commitment of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops to assist those in need around the world. CRS promotes human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies in more than 100 countries around the world.

In the United States, CRS works with Catholics and others of goodwill across the country – and throughout Iowa – to end global poverty and transform our world through prayer, advocacy, community giving, CRS Rice Bowl and other impactful actions.  CRS is building a movement of people working together to support our sisters and brothers experiencing hunger, conflict, violence and poverty around the world.
