Description: Young Children - Priority One (DBA Nutrition 4 Young Children) is an all-volunteer organization that promotes the importance of adequate and good nutrition for health childhood brain development from prebirth through age 5. Nutrition 4 Young Children (N4YC) collaborates with civic organizations, human service and government agencies, religious organizations and other entities to educate Polk County moms, build public awareness and motivate others to act on behalf of good nutrition during pregnancy and the early formative years. N4YC holds Healthy Baby Showers (via Zoom and in person) in both English and Spanish for low-income expectant and new mothers in collaboration with ISU Extension and Outreach-Polk County.
