This breakout will review the history of Global Greens program and explore lessons learned and best practices they have found effective in carrying out the program since 2011. In addition, the session will outline Training Farm program logistics, land acquisition, market development, and providing linguistically and culturally appropriate training and development opportunities to refugee farmers.
About the Organization:
LSI’s Global Greens agricultural programs coordinate land access, production education and business development training for refugees in the Des Moines metro who want to reconnect with the land.
