- The Land O’Lakes Foundation proactively helps rural communities by donating resources that develop and strengthen organizations. In 2017, annual giving totaled to $13.2 million. Giving is focused in three strategic pillars: alleviating hunger, supporting education and building communities.
- Land O’Lakes employees are active in the community volunteering individually, and in groups during company sponsored service events. Volunteer programs include projects with a hunger focus, nationwide support for local United Way Agencies, company match of employee gits to local food shelves, and employee growth and development through volunteerism.
- Answer Plot® Community Gardens engage multiple groups in various communities to grow, harvest and donate fresh produce to local food shelves. FFA students, with support from Answer Plot® and local co-ops, are responsible for the garden as it grows throughout the summer. 395,389 servings of food were grown at Community Gardens in 2017.
- Since 1981, Land O’Lakes, Inc. has shared expertise through Land O'Lakes International Development, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit affiliated with Land O’Lakes. Land O'Lakes International Development is helping communities around the world build economies by strengthening local agriculture, helping businesses create jobs and linking farmers to markets. Along the way, the lives of more than 3 million people have been transformed through nearly 300 programs in more than 80 countries.
