Organizations Fighting Hunger

Description:

Students and educators at Midland Middle-High School work to alleviate hunger through educational and service-learning projects.

For example, sixth through twelfth graders recently participated in a school-wide World Hunger Day, organized by a team of ten high school students. Students packaged 10,000 meals in partnership with Outreach, Inc to fight hunger in Tanzania, delivered canned foods to their local food pantry, and participated in educational activities including an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet.
