Description: Catholic Relief Services' CRS Rice Bowl is an annual collection sponsored by Catholic Relief Services in parishes across the United States. The collection occurs during the Lenten season each year. Seventy-five percent of the collection goes to Catholic Relief Services to support programs that address hunger and poverty in over 100 developing countries around the world. Twenty-five percent of the collection remains in the local Diocese and is distributed through a grant process to organizations that fight hunger and poverty within the Diocese.
