Description:

Iowa Homeless Youth Centers serves 3 meals daily, 7 days a week at their Facility located at 612 Locust Street in Des Moines. IHYC provides cooking classes on a weekly basis and are in the beginning stages of building a Rooftop Garden that is meant to be a social entrepreneurial venture. Youth will be employed in internships to help run the garden.

How to Help:

Volunteers can get involved in several ways. They can donate food for meals or snacks. Volunteers can come and serve or donate meals at any of our locations. In addition to our Youth Opportunity Center in downtown Des Moines, we have one transitional living facility for young families. Contact IHYC for more information or to sign up to volunteer.
