The first checks for the expanded Child Tax Credit, which arrived in July 2021, reduced the monthly child poverty rate by 26% and significantly impacted the hunger landscape in the U.S. After 6 payments, the expanded Child Tax Credit expired in December 2021.

This webinar from July 2022 featured experts from Columbia University's Center on Poverty and Social Policy and discussed the impact of the child tax credit on food security.
