Kassi Bailey

Deputy Director, Self-Help International

Kassi joined Self-Help International as Deputy Director in June 2023. Originally from Winterset, Iowa she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and International Studies with minors in Math and Spanish from Iowa State University. Kassi has worked in the non-profit realm for the last 10 years and the last 8 years in citizen diplomacy and international exchanges. Her love of international exchanges came from her first trip abroad via a sister city exchange where she traveled to Japan when she was only 13 years old. This trip encouraged her passion for travel, expanded her interest in learning about people from other cultures and an understanding that you never know how one person can make an impact on an individual or community.
