Mohammad Alam

Graduate Student and SHOP Operations Manager, Iowa State University

Mohammad Alam is a graduate student and Operations Manager at SHOP (Students Helping Our Peers) Food Pantry at Iowa State University. In this role, Mohammad oversees the distribution of essential resources, manages inventory and coordinates volunteer teams to address food insecurity among college students. His leadership has advanced operational efficiency and strengthened partnerships across campus to better serve vulnerable student populations.

With a background in Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management and Economics and Finance, Mohammad combines technical expertise with a passion for community service. His international experiences in Germany and Bangladesh have shaped his holistic perspective on food access and equity. Mohammad is dedicated to promoting sustainable solutions that reduce hunger on college campuses and beyond.
