Jakob Jerabek

Graduate Student and Greenhouse Manager, Morningside University

Jakob Jerabek is a graduate teaching assistant in the horticulture program at Morningside University, specializing in innovative agricultural practices. He assists with a variety of classes focused on microgreens, poinsettia production, aquaponics, hydroponics and tower farms. Having recently earned his bachelor’s degree from Morningside, Jakob holds a teaching certification in Agricultural Education from the State of Iowa. He currently manages the campus greenhouse at Morningside which grows fresh produce for both the campus cafeteria and the Siouxland Food Bank. His expertise combines practical, hands-on knowledge with a strong educational foundation, making him a valuable resource in advancing sustainable and modern horticultural practices. He is currently pursuing a master's in STEM education from Morningside University and plans to complete the program in the spring of 2026.
