Tom Martinez

Member, Coralville Community Food Pantry Board of Directors

Tom Martinez received a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Iowa with a foundation in American politics, public policy and political methodology. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of New Mexico. He has experience in both public service and nonprofit sectors. His work includes serving as an AmeriCorps member and Summer Lunch Coordinator with the Coralville Community Food Pantry where he managed food assistance programs and coordinated with local partners.

Since January 2024, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Coralville Community Food Pantry where he also chairs the Community Engagement Committee. In this role, he leads outreach initiatives, helps organize public events and works to build relationships across the community to strengthen the organization’s advocacy and education efforts.
