Shaffer Ridgeway

Shaffer Ridgeway, a resident of Waterloo, grew up in Alabama on a small cow/calf operation owned by his father. He attended college at Alabama A&M University, where he received his bachelor's degree in Agribusiness. After college, he started his career with the Natural Resources Conservation Service as an intern in 1998. He has served in many positions, including Soil Conservationist, Black Special Emphasis Program Manager, and District Conservationist. He has been the District Conservationist in Waterloo, IA (Black Hawk County) for the past 20 years.
