Iowa Hunger Calendar

Our annual Iowa Farm to School conference will take place on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22 at Central College in Pella. The conference brings together a broad community of farm to school stakeholders- teachers, food service staff, farmers, students, early childcare educators, nonprofit advocates, state agencies- to grow capacity for local, healthy foods in schools.

At the conference, attendees will connect and learn about farm to school priorities and programs like school gardens, culturally responsive school menus, hands-on food education, farmer partnerships, food access initiatives, and so much more. And we want to make sure that everyone who wants to attend is able to do so, without concern for finances.  We have a reasonable registration fee, and Central College is providing lodging at an affordable cost, but we know that taking two days away from family and having added expenses of any kind can be prohibitive for some people.
