Description: SALUD envisions a Storm Lake community that values diverse leadership as essential to achieving equitable opportunities for the health and well-being of all. We achieve this by advancing equity in health and well-being through: *Holding spaces for authentic dialogue. *Inviting community members to co-create and shape responses to community needs. *Empowering compassionate leaders that mirror the diversity of Storm Lake. In the area of food security SALUD jump-started the Hunger Dialogue, which is a space for those involved in battling food insecurity in our community to come together to share ideas and to collaborate in our efforts. Most recently, SALUD has joined with St. Mark Lutheran Church to create Friends With Food--a monthly food delivery to families/individuals who are permanently or temporarily homebound. How to Help: Individuals and organizations are encouraged to join a SALUD! meeting and become involved.
