What We Know About the Child Tax Credit and Food Hardship

The first checks for the expanded Child Tax Credit, which arrived in July 2021, reduced the monthly child poverty rate by 26% and significantly impacted the hunger landscape in the U.S. After 6 payments, the expanded Child Tax Credit expired in December 2021. Join us on Zoom on Thursday, July 14, at 1:00 p.m. CT to discuss the impact of the child tax credit on food security with experts from Columbia University's Center on Poverty and Social Policy.
