Get Involved
The 2023 Iowa Hunger Summit will be hosted on August 31, 2023. This year's summit will revisit the theme Paths to Zero to continue charting a course to overcoming hunger in the state of Iowa and beyond.
We encourage Iowa- and nationally-based organizations focused on hunger, poverty, health, or related issues to get involved at the Iowa Hunger Summit by participating in the event, hosting a breakout session, or reserving exhibit space.
Host a breakout session
Breakout sessions at the Iowa Hunger Summit are opportunities for participants to engage in in-depth conversations about local, regional, statewide, and national food security challenges and solutions. Hosts prepare a 45-minute session that offers practical insight and tools for attendees to further involve themselves in combating food insecurity in Iowa and around the world.
Applications are more likely to be accepted if 1) more than one organization is involved in leading/speaking, 2) the session provides opportunities for audience engagement, and 3) the session connects to the Iowa Hunger Summit theme of Paths to Zero. Applications are due by June 30, 2023.
